Line Fields is a complete set of line-art backgrounds for landing pages, slides, app screens, posters, covers and social posts. Every background is clean vector line work on a flat ground, in a strict system: one ground and exactly three line layers (main, echo, accent). Change a layer's stroke colour once and every line in it follows.
What is inside
- 104 backgrounds: 13 families x 8 palettes
- Each one in 16:9 (1920 x 1080), 1:1 (1080 x 1080) and 9:16 (1080 x 1920): 312 SVG files
- The same 312 as PNG at 2x (3840 x 2160, 2160 x 2160, 2160 x 3840)
- Line Studio: a single HTML file that runs offline in your browser. Pick a family, a palette or your own colours, a ratio, a seed, density and stroke weight, then export SVG or PNG
- A README with notes for Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop, Keynote, PowerPoint and the web
The 13 families
- Flow Field: evenly spaced streamlines that swirl and pool
- Paper Scallops: seigaiha, the traditional Japanese wave pattern of overlapping scalloped arcs
- Ornament Bands: stacked folk friezes: zigzags, diamonds, braids, scallops
- Contour Map: topographic contours with index lines and summit marks
- Ridge Lines: stacked ridgelines with true hidden-line overlap
- Hatch Waves: engraved crosshatch bands
- Running Stitch: stitched and dotted wavy rows in a folk textile rhythm
- Radial Burst: a sunburst of rays with dotted rings
- Concentric Arcs: woven multi-line arc ribbons
- Offset Stripes: bold rounded stripes in shifted rows
- Moire Rings: overlapping ring sets that make interference fringes
- Warped Grid: a lattice bent by a lens and a twist
- Weave: over and under basket weave in fine strands
The 8 palettes are 4 colourways, each as a light ground and a dark ground: Rice Paper and Night Ink, Jade Mist and Deep Jade, Dusk Paper and Dusk, Sand Dune and Ember.
Highlights
- Three pattern families beside the abstract fields: Paper Scallops (seigaiha, the Japanese wave pattern), Ornament Bands (stacked folk friezes) and Running Stitch (a stitched textile rhythm)
- Real vector: plain strokes, no effects, no embedded pictures, no fonts. 1-decimal coordinates keep files small (largest SVG about 809 KB)
- Every layer stays visible at thumbnail size on both light and dark grounds (measured, see the checks)
- Light and dark in every colourway
- Three ratios for every background, so one pick covers a hero, a card and a phone screen
- Line Studio makes unlimited extra variations in your own colours
Compatibility: Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, Affinity Designer, Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides, Canva, any browser. The Line Studio runs in current Chrome, Safari and Firefox.
Licence: Use it in personal and commercial projects under the licence you bought on the marketplace.
